Hey, everyone! My name is Jon Viducich, and I’m a water engineer working in Mozambique, partnering with the Christian Council of Mozambique (CCM), the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) and rural communities (acronym-less) to develop rainwater harvesting solutions and improve regional food security. I’m a follower of Jesus Christ, and am passionate about serving Him through loving people. My interests include appropriate, sustainable, holistic development, hanging out with my family and friends, good conversation, navigating languages and cultures other than my own, physical challenges, and near-life experiences.
Also, to give credit where it’s due, the picture on the top was taken by Mary, my little sister, who’s amazing.
Hey Jon, just testing the comment function. Let me know if you got it. This is very exciting. I love the theme and the lightning picture.
Love, Dad
Hey Jon! I am excited about your expreiences and what you are all about! Looking forward to catching up when you get back home. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, that sounds better than what I have been telling people (“My brother in law lives in Africa, drives his car over latrines in the ground and gets stuck, and sees spiders the size or your face!”) but the clean water engineer thing is definitely going to help sound more legit about what is actually going on in Mozi!
mozi? you’re ridiculous.
Jon, I have spent the last couple of hours getting caught up on your blog, I’m so sorry you came down with malaria, but sounds like you are over the worst of it. Mark and I are in Beaverton right now, down for Jessie and Roberts baptism into the Greek Orthodox Church. I have so enjoyed reading how you are doing in Moz. and will pray for you regularly.
Hey Jon, I just found your blog and read about your awesome healing experience from a VERY GOOD God. I’m so happy for you! I also read about a friend of yours named Mike from Redding, California. I am a Redding resident (for 14 years) and am now going to school at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry at Bethel Church. I was wondeering what your friend Mike’s last name is? Perhaps I can look him up. I’m also scheduled for a missions trip to MOZAMBIQUE BEIRA with Tracy Evans around April of 2010. Maybe we can actually meet–that would be fun! Well, glad to hear from you and don’t forget that God gave you the authority to keep well and heal simply by declaring His GOODNESS.
Came across your update page today and realized I wasn’t getting the updates. Your mom passes them on though! Hope you’re doing well!
Eden is AWESOME and you will love her (even when she tries to bite your face off!).

Hi Jon! I am currently at MCC orientation in Akron getting ready to go to Tanzania for 3 years. Colette and Bruce told me about you as I will be working as a community agronomist in conjunction with the sand dam projects in Dodoma. I look forward to getting caught up on your blog and experiences!

Hey Jon, I’m intrigued by your work in Moz. Nothing quite like helping folks with the most basic of necessities to make you feel like the work you are doing is important. If you don’t mind, I think I’ll just share in a little of the joy you are bringing to folks halfway around the world for a while.
Hi Jon
I have been following your blog and in order to update my website http://www.mozguide.com and to do some consultancy work I am planning to visit Tete and then the Shire area around Mutarara soon. I would be great if we could chat via email as I would like to find out more regarding accommodation and roads etc to assist planning.
Best wishes
Mike Slater
